Sony finally brings the PlayStation fan base some awesome news. In addition to supporting BD-Live online content, PlayStation 3 firmware 2.20 will also carry a Portable Copy function. This allows you to convert Blu-ray movies and transfer them to your PSP (albeit standard format) so you can take your hi-def library on the go.
I love this - I just started to build my Blu-ray library and have 20 titles so far, including the Die Hard 4-disc set, the 5-disc Blade Runner special, and I Am Legend. Can’t wait for the new firmware update.

Finally, Sony has unveiled their newest add on to compliment their PSP - the PSP camera.
What with the new wifi network being introduced throughout Central Park, I’ll be finding myself being able to webcam wirelessly with my folks back in England!

For those that haven’t kept up with my asinine ramblings since last Summer, you probably don’t know that I have a Sony PSP. Also known as the new love of my life.
I’ve taken to ripping and uploading full movies onto it, and watching them either in bed, or most recently, on the subway.
I am very aware of my surroundings, vigilant and low-key as far as “flaunting” my black lump of gorgeousness on the public transportation system, but I can’t help but think about being the target for a good old fashioned smack in the mush and getting robbed.
Those of you that travel frequently on the C train will no doubt attest to my claim that it doesn’t pass through the safest of ‘hoods. Now don’t get me wrong, I feel safe in my surroundings, but flashing my PSP goodness in the faces of my brethren will most likely get me noticed for the wrong reasons - and not my freakishly engaging cowlick.
I have taken to only watching movies in the morning on the E or V trains once I get into West 4th Street - at least this way I have a wall of trench-coated pen pushers between me and any knife wielding ex cons.

yes, I’m 33 and still into video games - what!
I know, I know… get a life, I hear you all saying… well I have something to say about that - when you have no cable, no regular television to watch, live in a neighborhood that requires you walk the streets during the daylight hours only, then you really don’t have that much to do other than find “indoor pursuits” - reading, writing (bloggy blog) and I’ve already watched The Dave Chapelle Show (all of season 1) 3 times on DVD… I just had to buy my sexy little psp.

makes for a handy weapon on the new york subways
and so to the games… my library so far, albeit small, is rather enjoyable:
Wipeout Pure
NFSU Rivals
Coded Arms
well, Coded Arms is a pile of crap, but the other two are fantastic. graphically impressive - pretty much PS2 quality on a handheld, the sound quality is amazing and I’m waiting for GTA to come out in October… yes, I just followed through.
so, with that said, I’m off to waggle my joystick and sink into a world familiar with fat teenagers and sad lonely 30-somethings… [hang on]… dammit.
[walks slowly away from the Mac, toward psp oblivion, blushing... and drooling]
