So David Beckham’s done with Real Madrid, and moving to the US to play for Los Angeles Galaxy, in a deal that’s topping $250 million in salary and endoresements.
This is a great move for American soccer - the hype over Freddie Adu died down pretty quickly - so this should inject some spark into the “football fever” over this side of the pond.
Good to see some real talent over here.

Dave,he’ll be on £492,000 per week FFS. That’s almost $1,000,000 a week. Please note that the deal does not include any bonuses( goals and appearances etc)nor does it include any monies he recieves from his image rights(shirt sales and other merchandise) or sponsorships. Will this put the MLS on the map finally in the sport? who knows. All i know is that his #1 priority is his family. For that i salute him. However will his team-mates who are on a month to month contract of $24,000 per month like this? Not too sure about that one. The media over this side of the pond drove him away and now he has got what he has truly deserved.Mega Superstar Status & Mega Mega money.Retire at 35 he may just do and possibly take up acting with his new mate Mr Cruise.I hope he doesn’t join that wacky Scientology group.mind you could he even spell ity?
