In one of the most exciting games to date since the World Cup started, Germany succumb to the superlative soccer prowess belonging to the Italians, losing 2-0 - and the goal scoring action happened in the final 120 seconds of the 2nd half of extra time… what a finish by the people of peppperoni perfection.
Sad to see the Germans go out, I was kinda rooting for them since watching England’s demise last week over a penalty shootout against Portugal. So now it’s down to France and Portugal to battle their semi final game out - I hate to say it, but I hope the Portuguese come out on top - yeah, it’s an English/French thing… [shrugs]

Rooney did wrong Skribe this is true but you do not try to get somebody sent off especially when you’re club team mates. There is a code you know. I hate ronaldo. He’s nothing but an over rated prima donna. Fergie stuck by that boy when accused of Rape, stuck by him when the whole premier league players and fans booed him during every game cos he was always diving( something fergie thought he’d got rid of-till now) and stuck by him when Ruud fell out with him. As a result we’ve lost one of the most prolific goal per game ratio player we’ve ever had.
Like i said i hate Ronaldo.

This code would be, what? Don’t win at all costs? Perhaps if England and Oz weren’t so honourable they might have made the semis. Simple fact is that three of the four semi-finalists are known for diving and the two biggest divers are through to the final.
You play the game to win. You push the rules as far as you can and you break them if you can get away with it. That’s how the game is played today. That’s how it has to be played if you want to win. C.Ronaldo seems to have worked that out, while Rooney still needs a year’s worth of anger management classes. You don’t grab your opponent in front of the ref!! You squirrel grip him while the ref’s writing your name on the yellow. Rooney was stupid. He deserved what he got.
England were shit anyway. They didn’t deserve to go through. Sven and his masters, the FA, wasted a generation of exceptional talent. They should have sacked him after we beat you 3:1 (if not before).
